There are various visualisations of interconnected terms that are 'better' than the traditional "file browser" model - these include a fan of lollipops showing the related terms and the kind of relations, andn also hyperbolic projections as illustrated by 'Treebolic'. Visualisations help people understand the way that a terminology is designed and this in turn helps them use it better
