British Geological Survey (BGS) Geophysical Survey 1985/6: Peach (26/May/1985 to 29/Jun/1985)
This British Geological Survey (BGS) marine geophysical survey took place in May and June 1985 to the west of Scotland on board the MV Gorsethorn. The purpose was to collect data as part of the UK continental shelf survey programme. The main objective was to survey part of the Peach sheet. Sea floor data were collected using echosounder and transit sonar. Sub-bottom seismic profiling data were collected using Airgun/Water gun; Pinger; Sparker and surface tow Boomer. Gravity and Magnetometer data were recorded. These records are archived by BGS. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS report WB/89/11R.
