CORONA Satellite Image of Area from Afon (River) Tawe to Talgarth, Wales
unknown
This CORONA panchromatic satellite image covers an area extending from Afon (River) Tawe to Talgarth, Wales. The ground resolution is approximately 2.75 metres. The zipped file holding this dataset also includes a screenshot showing image footprint, which corresponds to the full extent of the captured images. There are four image segments associated with this footprint (DS1104-1043DF002_2a, DS1104-1043DF002_2b, DS1104-1043DF002_2c and DS1104-1043DF002_2d). The image files ending in '1a' and ‘1b’ have not been processed as there is 90 percent cloud cover associated with these images. One third of this image (DS1104-1043DF002_2c) has 90 percent cloud cover, and has been been clipped from the original; there is about 30 percent cloud cover associated with this image. Please note that the positional accuracy is not reliable and may need to be geo-referenced again, though this was done to situate the image over the corresponding ground area. Users of this image will be able to identify areas using built environments and features of the physical landscape.
