This dataset was derived from OS Boundary Line polygons of Local Authority boundaries in most places, and by following OS Open Roads or OS Open Rivers where the boundary differs from Local Authorities, such as between north and south Fife. Boundary Line is based on 1:10,000 scale mapping.
