The Bay of Calvi model is composed of 27 compartments, including seabirds, 11 groups of fish, 12 groups of invertebrates, 2 primary producers, bacteria and detritus, as well as a single commercial fishing fleet. A new functional group has been added to the EwE model to represent *<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">...</span>* <span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">...</span> very low biomass (0.005 t/km <span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">...</span> he new Ecopath food-web was used to conduct dynamic simulations in Ecosim whereby the biomass of *<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">...</span>* was steadily ‟forced‟ upward over time(using the in-built ‟fitting‟ routine) <span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">...</span> investigate the indirect consequences for the wider food-web, but also the impact on commercial fisheries in the Bay of Calvi. A number of different ‟forcing‟ scenarios were tested, firstly a 4% year-on-year increase in F. commersonii was tested but also a 6% and 8% increase for the full 100 years.
