British Geological Survey (BGS) Geophysical Survey 2002/1: Mapping of UK Continental Shelf (D265): North of 62N (01/Sep/2002 to 23/Sep/2002)
D265
This British Geological Survey (BGS) marine geophysical survey took place in September 2002 on the UK Continental Shelf north of 62N on board the RRS Discovery. This field operation was the second part of the programme to complete mapping of the area. Subsurface seismic data were collected using an airgun, multi-tip spark array and a sub-bottom profiler. Gravity data, magnetometer data and data from a hydrographic echo sounder were also collected. Most of the data were recorded digitally, but paper records were generated also. These data are archived by BGS. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS Internal Report IR/02/198.
