Abstract

Daily river flow data is available for over 500 river flow sites across England with instantaneous data (recorded every 15 min) available for a sub-section of gauges. Data is usually updated once per day. The instantaneous data is transferred direct for telemetry to internal and external systems in or close to real time. The daily river flow data is transferred from our internal archive once per day. The full record of data will be available and will consist of unchecked recent data and checked historic data. Measurement is taken in metres cubed per second (m3s-1). Note that river flow is recorded in GMT and therefore during British Summer Time (BST) data may appear to be an hour old. Data comes from a network of over 500 gauging stations across England and is subject to quality control procedures. As a result values on this website are subject to change after publication.
