Title

1982 - 1982 Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (Cefas) 1982 Eastern Irish Sea Groundfish Survey Catch Data - Silver Star Time Series

Abstract

A series of groundfish surveys were carried out on the fishing vessel Silver Star from 1976 to 1991 in the eastern Irish Sea. Fishing took place using a Boris Goshawk trawl towed for an hour. This data is from the 3 surveys carried out during 1982. Numbers at length by centimetre of the main commercial fish species are recorded. Station positions by area are recorded. A summary table is included for cruises 02/82 and 03/82 containing catch data for all other species.

In total, 24 groundfish survey hauls were all successfully completed. - **Silver Star 03/82 (11th October - 20th October)** Trawling began on the morning of October 11th, during the following 10 days (3 of which were unworkable due to gale force winds), all 24 stations of the survey were satisfactorily completed.
