Lineage
The survey was undertaken by a team of 2 surveyors using a hovercraft platform. Transects were located using Thales Mobile mapper GPS based on positions of previous work. At each habitat, the substratum and dominant/characteristic species were identified. Sediment was sampled and infaunal species were collected using a 0.5mm mesh sieve. Photographs of the area, habitats and characteristic species were taken at each survey site then cross-referenced with the survey notes and GPS positions.
