1992 - 2022 Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (Cefas) England & Wales - E.coli measurements in shellfish flesh from monitoring data for England and Wales
Bacterial loads in food shellfish
Generally monthly collected Official Control shellfish samples collected from 400 or so sites across E&W by local authority sampling officers. Analysed for *E. coli* in shellfish flesh in Official Control labs and results reported to Cefas. Decisions about the classification of harvesting areas is based on this data. The *E. coli* data and summary statistics are viewable in list and graphical form for each representative monitoring point (RMP) on the Cefas website.
