The survey purposes vary and include recommended Marine Conservation Zone (rMCZ) Phase I or II verification surveys, condition assessments, surveys of features of Natura 2000 sites (Special Area of Conservation, Special Protection Area), Intertidal surveys, Benthic grab surveys and others. Study commissioned by English Nature, aimed to provide further knowledge of the Honeycomb Worm Sabellaria alveolata along the Eastern Irish Sea Coast (marine Nature Conservation Review Region 13), through the mapping, condition and conservation assessment of the current status and future develpment of the biogenic reef forming species.survey mapped the distribution of Sabellaria alveolata reefs along the English coastline of the esatern Irish Sea and compared them with earlier survey data available to assess spatial and temporal changes. The survey also involved recording the structure of the reefs and the wildlife interests associated and assessed the temporal and spatial changes.
