We have collated and merged shapefiles from each water company published as part of price review 19. This exercise enabled us to build a layer illustrating the supply areas of each water company and its associated water resource zone within England. The shapefiles we used to build this layer may not be identical to the shapefiles published online by the water companies. To create a coherent dataset without gaps or overlaps, we made some manual adjustments to some of the water company supply boundaries. We have made every effort to accurately align boundaries to create this layer taking into account urban areas and checking our revisions with water companies where appropriate

Special conditions: 1. This Information may only be used by you either in pursuance of this condition or in pursuance of condition 2 below. We have restricted use of the Information as a result of legal restrictions placed upon us to protect the rights or confidentialities of others. In this instance it is because prior rights for some of the information is owned by water companies. If you contact us in writing (this includes email) we will, as far as confidentiality rules allow, provide you with details including, if available, how you might seek permission from a third party to extend your use rights.
