Habitat point records from 1974 University of Dundee Loch Inchard littoral survey
9 sites in Loch Inchard form the basis of brief descriptions of the littoral fauna and flora. Littoral substrata and communities are described, and species lists appended. It is a narrow, sheltered sealoch with bedrock and/or boulder shores as its predominant substrate types. Ascophyllum nodosum var. mackaii beds were present in the inner parts. There are a number of important freshwater inlets to this inner region and two important salmon rivers (Rhiconich River and Achriesgill Water). Flushing of the loch is poor. General notes on north-western shore floras and faunas are given.
