This spreadsheet comprises six sheets: - Apportion - this takes the UK quota and apportions to the sector, over 10m non-sector and the 10m and under non-sector for fisheries administrations in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The methodology is governed by the UK quota management rules which are available on the gov.uk website. - HP apport - the UK can apply for additional quota based on 'Hague Preference' arrangements. Apportioning of the quota is shown here. - H Mac apport - the areas covered by the two horse mackerel quota stocks changed in 2011 and the FQAs can no longer be used directly to allocate/apportion quota. This page shows how existing FQAs are used to apportion quota. - S and R - FQAs do not exist for two skates and ray stocks introduced in 2009. Historic track record for 2006-08 is currently used and calculations are shown here. - UK FQAs - FQAs are the means by which quota is generally apportioned/allocated. A breakdown of FQAs by quota stock and group is shown here.
