The Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) spectra of poly(hydroxybutyrate)-based systems with clay additives changing crystallisation kinetics recorded at ambient temperature
The dataset contains spectra of Poly(hydroxybutyrate) – PHB – systems performed at ambient temperature. The data was collected using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), using two types of clay (10A and 25A) that act as a nucleating agent in polymer matrix. The data was collected using an FTIR spectrometer at University of Strathclyde. The sample was prepared by melting it between two Kapton sheets, using an aluminium oval mould. Then, the sample was placed in liquid nitrogen and placed at the FTIR stage equilibrated at ambient temperature. The FTIR spectra were collected at various positions in the sample and saved in .csv files.
