Abstract

There are 86 allotment sites across the Borough with over 2000 plots under cultivation. Plots are measured in square perches (equal to a square rod) which is a pre-metric French measurement. A perch is 30.25 square yards (25.29 square metres). Most plots vary in size from 5 Perch (126.5 square metres) to 10 Perch (252.9 square metres).
