Lineage

The waiting, loading stopping restriction information for the locations include historical CAD plans, from site and desktop surveys and from new engineering design drawings. Lines are digitised in reference to OS MasterMap Topographic in CAD, or over new engineering design drawing layers. Temporal accuracy varies; some parts of the data may not be current. Data be subject to omissions due to lack of surveying, especially in the south of the Borough. Positional accuracy is estimated at 1m (based on OS Master map accuracy). Attributes are added by hand. Length is calculated from object geometry. Updated using CAD design drawings from other team member (layers exported from CAD). Objects and attributes updated if new controlled parking zone has been implemented or if errors have been identified using OS MasterMAp and Google Street View. Quality control consists of conducting a visual check to pick up inconsistencies between the alignment and OS Master map base map and then checked against Google Street View or by obtaining advice from officers.
