This LiDAR data was captured by Bluesky International Limited for Historic Environment Scotland (HES) as part of the Rae Project, the 3D Digital Documentation of HES’ Properties in Care and for other HES projects. The LiDAR data was captured in 2017 of the sites and their immediate landscape and processed in *.ascii format to 0.25m resolution for the following sites: • Broch of Gurness; • Knap of Howar, Rousay; • Links of Noltland, Westray; • Maeshowe Chambered Cairn as part of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site dataset • Noltland Castle including Queen a Howe Broch • Ring of Brodgar as part of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site dataset; • Skara Brae as part of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site dataset; • Stones of Stenness as part of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site dataset; and Wideford Hill Chambered Cairn. Data was supplied in *.las format and 0.25m *.ascii format as DTM (Terrain) and DSM (Surface) data and is distributed as LAZ and GeoTiff. Each site or data area is included in a GIS shapefile depicting the location of the data and key attribute information associated with the data Tiles contain only data that was relevant to HES Projects at the time of procurement
