Soil CO2 exchange data from the Alice Holt plantation tower (2012-2016)
Straits Inclosure forest floor CO2 efflux (2012-2016)
These data give the approximately fortnightly measurements of soil CO2 efflux in the Straits Inclosure, Alice Holt Forest, Hampshire, UK. The site is a mature productive oak (Quercus robur L.) woodland on a surface-water stagnogley soil. CO2 efflux was measured using a LI-COR LI-8100 on collars inserted into the soil and including the litter layer. These data are measurements of CO2 efflux from the surface of the forest floor, including the litter layer. The soil CO2 efflux was measured using a LiCor LI-8100A soil gas analyser and LI-8100-103 20cm survey chamber. The measurement settings were: 90 sec measurement; 10 sec observation delay; 90 sec post-purge; 6 cm chamber offset. CO2 fluxes were calculated using the default settings in LI-8100 File Viewer 3.1.0. Chamber air temperature, air pressure and relative humidity are from the sensors in the LI-8100-103
