Species point records from 1997 MNCR west Anglesey sublittoral survey
Standard MNCR diving survey of sublittoral rocky and sediment habitats between Abermenai Point and Carmel Head to fill in the gaps left by 1996 survey dive due to bad weather and boat breakdowns. Much of the survey area has tidal streams, with the sites on headlands having good examples of tide-swept rocky habitats. South of Roscolyn Head the seabed is largely sand and muddy sand. North of Roscolyn Head, with the exception of some sandy bays, is bedrock, boulders and cobbles. The whole area is fairly silty. Records currently considered sensitive have been removed from this dataset.
