Lineage

The initiative laid the foundations for the Marine Conservation Society (MCS), previously the Underwater Conservation Society (UCS). Record cards detail species occurrence observed by amateur divers with an abundance scale (absent; present or common), in this case it has been entered as present or not present. A description of the bottom type is included, as well as a site description in some cases. This data was digitized by MarLIN under a Defra/NBN contract CRO313.
