3 transects 50 m permanently marked in the water by plastic tags in the sand with 25 m distance between them. Quadrats laid every 5 m always on the right-hand-side of the transect line and photograph taken. Seagrass and algal percentage cover estimated from photographs as was epiphyte percentage. Canopy height measured with a ruler in the field.
Start and end co-ordinates of each transect were determined with a non-differential GPS, however the co-ordinates for individual quadrats (excluding those at the start and end) were determined with ArcGIS.
