There were three adult Pleuronectes platessa seen all very close to the transect line. Two Callionymus lyra were seen. One Echiichthyes vipera was observed. A bedrock platform with a few boulders, in the midst of a sandy plain. The habitat was very heavily silted. There were a few Alcyonium digitatum and Metridium senile, with several Urticina eques and Urticina felina. The hydroid and bryozoan turf was very silted and tatty, with four species of nudibranch found. Several spider crabs were also observed. There was a lone boulder in the sandy plain nearby, with a large lobster beneath it.

Flustra foliacea was common. Henricia sp. was also common and Alcyonium digitatum was occasional overall (common locally). Various hydroids, nudibranchs and ascidians were sparsely distributed, though were not surveyed accurately due to lack of time. One octopus was seen on ascending.

Substratum was mainly irregular bedrock (hard sandstone) with patches of coarse sand (mobile) and a few boulders. The rock was densely colonised but was patchy. There was Laminaria hyperborea, which had very long stipes but almost nothing growing on them. The rock had patches of very dense Laminaria sp. sporelings (20-30 cm long) and a sparse covering of foliose reds (mostly Plocamium cartilagineum and Phycodrys rubens). There was very fine silt on rock surfaces. There were piddocks in some small boulders. There was also Calliostoma zizyphinum, Echinus esculentus and pink crusts. Fauna was generally quite sparse.
