Upper circalittoral bedrock with a large number of species, mainly ascidians, bryozoa and sponges. Pycnoclavella aurilucens was superabundant in large patches and the 'Pin head' squirt (Clavelina indet.) was common. Seaweed cover was sparse with Drachiella heterocarpa, Erythroglossum laciniatum and Rhodomenia holmseii the most conspicuous species.

Jassid tubes cover much of the algae.

Cobbles and pebbles with lots of empty shells including Ostrea edulis. Algae is small but included Scinaia turgida. Some burrowing anemones including Cerianthus lloydii and Cereus pedunculatus. Otherwise lots of Pomatoceros triqueter and Gibbula cineraria.
