This map shows land where Wigan Council holds registered title (freehold or leasehold).  The data is obtained from HM Land Registry and is updated daily.  
 
Please note there is land for which Wigan Council may have management responsibilities but no ownership (eg. common land).  This is excluded from this map.  Similarly, there is land where Wigan Council owns the freehold, but another party own the leasehold, or rent a property, and maintenance responsibility rests with the tenant or leaseholder, and not with Wigan Council.
