The analytical results provided in this OpenDataNI data extract, are those which have been used for the reported calendar year to assess the annual compliance of each individual Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW). The results supplied include:
Water Order Consent (WOC) and Urban Wastewater Treatment Regulations (UWWTR), where applicable, consented final effluent parameters, only reporting those results being used for the sites’ annual compliance assessment.
An assessment against each individual parameter result as to whether it passed its relevant consent. If the parametric result failed, detail of which consent limits it failed to achieve is included (ie WOC or UWWTR limit). This includes flagging if an UWWTR result passes by % reduction (meaning that the sample met the % removal rate from the raw inlet to final effluent). For Total Nitrogen or Total Phosphorous, each individual result is assessed as an overall annual average.
The sites’ discharge locations are identified to give Local Council Area, Catchment Management Group, Local Management Area, and receiving Waterbody Name.
The sampling, transportation, analysis, and reporting of wastewater regulatory results are all accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Scheme (UKAS), whereby all parts of the workflow are individually accredited to the globally recognised ISO/IEC 17025 quality requirements.
