This statistical release is an amalgamation of the statistical releases: Brewers, Distillers and Maltsters Usage and Stocks, Cereals Usage by Oatmeal Millers in the UK and Wheat Milled and Flour Production. There have been revisions made to historic annual data from 2008 to 2011. Historic data may subsequently be subject to minor revisions. Closing stock relates to that actually at the establishment. Estimates are based on returns made to the Department by all known brewing, malting and distilling establishments. Because of individual rounding, figures may not add up to the totals shown. There were 53 weeks in the Statistical year 1998. In order to incorporate the change January 1998 was increased to a 5 week period compared to 4 weeks in 1997. There were 53 weeks in the Statistical year 2004. In order to incorporate the change January 2004 was increased to a 5 week period compared to 4 weeks in 2003. There were 53 weeks in the Statistical year 2010. In order to incorporate the change January 2010 was increased to a 5 week period compared to 4 weeks in 2009.
