This sub-sub-datalayer comprises shipwreck, submarine, and aircraft crash sites, located within the search area that has been designated as sites of some level of historic interest and/or significance, and as such are protected under relevant legislation. A sub layer of the Maritime Archaeology Designations Sub layer, which itself is one of a series of 4 Maritime Archaeology sub datalayers.
