This dataset contains data reported by water companies in accordance with the Urban Waste Water Treatment (England and Wales) Regulations 1994. The regulations implement the European Union Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (91/271/EEC). The dataset consists of tables containing information on:
• agglomerations and urban wastewater treatment plants
• discharge points
• receiving areas
• sludge handling
• treated wastewater reuse
This data fulfils the requirement under section 12A(2) of the Urban Waste Water Treatment Regulations to assess compliance with these regulations in each agglomeration.
