Coliforms at WTWS Stable 0.010% 0.04% 0.070% 0.02% Slight increase from APR18 due to an increase from 2 to 3 WTWs with coliform exceedances Our Water treatment performance had a marginal decline compared to 2017. There were three WTWs with coliform exceedances in 2018 which is an increase from the year before of two. Langsett WTW had a single coliform detection on 04/01/2018. Loxley WTW had a single coliform detection on 03/04/2018. Harlow Hill WTW had a single coliform detection on 06/09/2018. The two sites that failed in 2017 were Acomb Landing WTW and Eccup WTW. Each instance of failure is investigated thoroughly.
SR coliform compliance Stable N/A 0 0.024% 0 Stays at zero as it was in APR18 and as it has been since CCC14 Reported at 0.00 which is refernece level. There were 4 total coliform detections at service reservoirs in 2018 compared to 18 in 2017. The highest % fail rate at any service reservoir was 1.92% for two sites, well below the 5% threshold. Brayton Selby CRE - July 2018 Siwards How WTR - July 2018 Staincross SRE - September 2018 Moonshine SRE - October 2018 Each instance of failure is investigated thoroughly.
Turbidity at WTWs Stable N/A 0 4 WTW Turbidity 0 Number of works remains at reference level of zero No exceedances of the 95%ile limit and the full year results met the performance commitment standard. Highest turbidity 95%ile value was for Irton WTW (0.37 NTU). The same works was the highest recorded 95 %ile in 2017 also. This site was subject to a single regulatory failure against the turbidity standard for turbidity on 29/12/2017 (4.85 NTU). The site has been undergoing AMP6 quality investment for raw water Cryptosporidium and pesticides. However, the failure in 2017 was subsequently shown to be due to the presence of copper particles – considered to be due to damage to the sample line in extremely cold weather conditions. There was no evidence of filtration breakthrough over this period. There were no Regulatory Fails in 2018, compared to 4 in 2017 (Hutton Cranswick WTW, Ewden WTW, Austerfield WTW, Irton WTW).
Possible Enforcement Stable N/A 0 1 Enforcement Action 0 At reference level of zero No enforcements in 2018. Previously 1 site in 2017, the first non-zero recording since CCC12. This was due to enforcement of a legal instrumnet at Chellow Heights WTW as discussed in APR2018.
