This dataset contains information on export applications for Intra-union trade, exports to Third Countries and exports for National Trade (Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands) of livestock (cattle, pigs, sheep and goats). The dataset contains columns for the animal species, the destination country of the export, the date the application was received, the export date, the Export Health Certificate (EHC) issued, the purpose of the animal(s) export (for breeding, fattening, production or slaughter) and if the EHC was cancelled. Where the EHC column does not contain data, the export is for Intra-union trade to a Member State of the European Union under Council Directives 64/432/EEC (as amended) or 91/68/EEC (as amended). This will include Intra-union trade certificates where the final destination was to a Third Country but the animal(s) transited the EU en route and were therefore required to have Intra-union trade certification issued as well as an EHC.
