Summary

Environmental monitoring points consist of a variety of sites throughout the UK at which environmental data are gathered by The Coal Authority. The types of data collected include: water level, mine gas concentration, flow rate, chemistry and pumping data.

In November 2024, the Coal Authority changed its name to the Mining Remediation Authority to better reflect its mission and continued commitment to environmental sustainability, safety, and community support.
