Dataset showing forests that comprised the freehold public forest estate dedicated by former Forestry Commission Wales (FCW), now Natural Resources Wales (NRW), under section 16 of the Countryside and Rights of Way (CRoW) Act in 2005. Some forest that was dedicated has since been sold and is now in private ownership.
When using this data to understand the extent of Open Access , it should be used in conjunction with Open land, Open Country, Registered Common Land, Other Statutory Access Land, and Other Dedicated Land from the same years.
