DWP have two separate in year bonus schemes - cash and vouchers. For vouchers data is available from the supp;iers on the numbers of payments made. Vouchers are awarded in values between £25 and £50. There were 72,520 vouchers issued with an average value of £34.62. The numbers quoted for maximum and median values refer to cash payments only. The numbers of staff receiving bonuses refer to the number of cash and voucher payments made. It is possible that a small number of staff received more than one bonus payments. The number of SCS are the number who were considered for an award rather than the SIP as at 31 March. |

1) For NCPRP for SCS one payment is still outstanding, this has not been included as we await sign off from the Secretary of State.
2) When showing the number of staff receiving NCPRPs we have shown the number of payments made in the period. 757 colleagues received a payment.
3) There is one Grade 6 who has been TDA'd to the SCS who received a non consolidated payment. Other Grade 6 colleagues receiving TDA have not been included in the SCS numbers.
4) The higest value of NCPRP for delegated grades is higher than last year's response. This is because at the time of submission last year, we were awaiting sign off for payment of NCPRP for a small group of senior managers. The highest value for this group of colleagues was £7,500 last year. |

The number of SCS awards is based on the people in the pool to be considered by the Pay Committee not the number of SCS in post on 31 March 2012. The total paid for SCS awards does not include employers contributions. As HSE's 2012 pay settlement for its delegated bands is still to be approved, we havent yet paid our NCPRP payments relating to 2011/12 performance for up to 21 civil nuclear security staff who retain a reserved right to a team bonus and also to approximately 15 staff in the Radioactive Materials Transport (RMT) discipline who retain a reserved right to a high performance award for the report year running from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012. |
