Summary

The Government requires each local planning authority to maintain a register of previously developed (brownfield) land that is considered to be appropriate for housing. The Council’s current Brownfield Land Register (September 2024 update) identifies a total of 25 brownfield sites, which comprise approximately 97ha of housing land and could accommodate up to 1,818 dwellings.
