Summary

This data is derived from the deployment of a single data storage tag on an Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) in the English Channel. The cod was tagged in the North Sea on 03/04/2001 and was recaptured in the North Sea on the 06/02/2002. The cod migrates north from the tagging location off Lowestoft, and spends the summer off the north-east coast of the UK, north of the Dogger Bank. The dataset contains 309 days of data, and comprises three files: depth measurements at a 10 minute sampling rate for the full record, depth measurements at a 10 sampling rate for July 2001, and estimates of horizontal position for each day.
