Yorkshire Water paid for several Riverholme Connections volunteers to take a City & Guilds training course and certificate in herbicide application, meaning the volunteers are now safely able to manage the invasive species along their local stretch of river. This is a more sustainable and cost effective approach than Yorkshire Water using contractors and gives employment skills back to the community. |
