Summary

This seabed sampling programme was commisioned by The Department of the Environment and The Crown Estate Commissioners as part of a marine aggregate survey of a selecter area off Great Yarmouth and was carried out by the British Geological Survey (BGS). The survey took place in July 1987 off Great Yarmouth on board the D.S.V. Balgownie. Sediment samples were collected using BGS vibrocorer (4" primarily, 6" barrel used on some sites); BGS shipek grab and a larger clamshell grab. An underwater camera was deployed at selected sites. Technical details of the survey are contained in BGS report WB/87/35C. Study area report WB/88/9C.
