This spreadsheet contains details of all thin sections produced as part of this IRF. All samples were collected and exported by Alex Liu, either under permits issued by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador (for all Newfoundland samples), or with the express written permission of host researchers in the other countries (e.g. as specimen loans from the South Australia Museum, USP, NIGPAS, and IPGG Novosibirsk). The spreadsheet tabs are arranged by country, and thin section codes, collector information, lithology, stratigraphic information, locality, slide engravings, and current location information are provided. All specimens are currently housed in the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Cambridge, where they form part of an active research collection. The thin sections comprise sedimentary rock samples from late Ediacaran fossil localities in Newfoundland, Australia, Russia, China and Brazil; microfossil samples from China; and occasional fossil samples from Australia and Russia.
