Summary

This dataset is a collation from subtidal ground-truthing surveys carried out in Strangford Lough SAC and MCZ between 2016-2019. This part of DAERA biodiversity and MPA monitoring programme in the Northern Ireland inshore region. A drop camera was either dropped and towed or mounted in a sledge and towed to gather broad scale habitat information and groundtruth Side scan sonar data and previous seabed habitat mapping. Evidence gathered in these surveys will also support designation of pMCZ features in Strangford Lough and inform management decisions within the MPA.
