Debt Recovery cases are the debt cases transferred to Enforcement Agent (formerly known as bailiffs), when payment for different Services within Calderdale Council has not been received in the required time period.
The Excel document contains 5 different tables split by financial years including:
- Cases referred to Enforcement Agents from each service area
- Cases split by Enforcement Agents for each service area
- Total Cases referred to each Enforcement Agency
- Total Amount split by Enforcement Agency (where available)
- Total Amount by Enforcement Agent (where available)
Cases can arise from four main service areas including:
These cases are passed over to one of two contracted Enforcement Agents:
- Jacobs
- CDER (previously known as Phoenix)
Included in the figures are cases from a former Enforcement Agent - Equita (pre-April 2023).
