CT slice data and data files from CT scans of six fossil specimens from the Tamengo and Guaicurus Formations of the Corumba region, Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil. Specimens 1104b, 11005b, 11043b, 11048b, 11077f and 11080b were scanned; photographs of these specimens can be found in the accompanying image folders from Brazil. For each specimen, individual folders contain the tif stack of slice images; a ctdata file listing project angle details; and xtekct files in .xml and .xtekct formats. These specimens were suspected of being examples of late Ediacaran trace fossil burrows. However, closer inspection using these CT data revealed them to be the remains of likely algal body fossils. They provide context for our (accompanying) publication on these units (Parry et al., 2017), but these specific specimens do not appear in that paper (apart from an image of specimen 11077f, which appears in Fig. 5 of the supplementary information).
