This dataset is a subset of the "WFD Classification Status Cycle 2" product and contains summary data for the element Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD). Please note that BOD has not been used in classifying the status of water bodies. It is used for site-specific regulation such as setting consent limits. The BOD classification dataset is an element of the physico-chemical group or element set. Site classifications are derived from spot sampling monitoring data. The results of which are calculated into percentiles using a parametric method and assessed against two sets of environmental quality standards (EQS), which are derived from site typology.
