Sampling |

All samples that are taken by authorised officers and sent to an official laboratory constitute official control samples.
Competent Authorities may procure samples either by purchasing or taking them. |

Initial Official Control |
First inspection of the new FBE, where it will be rated by officer. This is the intervention type that will be generated after a new food business establishment has been triaged. These should be carried out within 28 days, 3 months. |

Inspection orAudit |
Establishments receive a physical inspection or audit for their initial official control. |
