INT001 Initial Desktop assessment/Triage New food business establishment, with no historic risk rating are reviewed and updated on the system. Food Hygiene A way to identify and arrange inspections of new establishments and with no historic rating
INT006 Sampling To mean taking feed or food or any other substance (including from the environment) relevant to the production, processing and distribution of feed or food or to the health of animals, in order to verify through analysis compliance with feed or food law or animal health rules. Food Hygiene All samples that are taken by authorised officers and sent to an official laboratory constitute official control samples. Competent Authorities may procure samples either by ‘purchasing’ or ‘taking’ them.
INT014 Initial Official Control First inspection of the new FBE, where it will be rated by officer. This is the intervention type that will be generated after a new food business establishment has been triaged. These should be carried out within 28 days, 3 months. Food Hygiene This is to categorise the businesses first official risk rating visit.
INT015 Inspection orAudit Establishments receive a physical inspection or audit for their initial official control. Food Hygiene The Code provides that Competent Authorities only revise the intervention rating of a food business establishment, for food hygiene, at the conclusion of a physical inspection or audit (full or partial) with some exceptions
