This dataset contains the key components of the Nottinghamshire & Nottingham Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS), which was developed collaboratively by a local partnership led by Nottinghamshire County Council as Responsible Authority.
The LNRS establishes priorities and maps proposals for specific actions to drive nature recovery and provide wider environmental benefits. It provides a framework for action that can be taken by councils, landowners and farmers, environmental organisations, businesses and community groups.
The LNRS for Nottinghamshire and Nottingham was published on 10 November 2025. It is a statutory document and will remain in place until the County Council is directed by DEFRA to carry out a review, which is expected to be between three to 10 years' time.
