Summary

The total headcount employed in England, and the number of apprentices employed for a specific period at Calderdale Council. From 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2021, the majority of public bodies with 250 or more staff employed in England were considered to be in scope of meeting the Department for Education apprenticeship target. The target was to employ an average of at least 2.3% of their staff as new apprentice starts during this period. As part of this duty, we were required to publish data related to this requirement. It was also submitted to the Department for Education. Although we are no longer required to publish the data, we have chosen to continue to do so. More information on the statutory guidance for bodies in scope of the Public sector apprenticeship target can be found at Public sector apprenticeship target. You can find other datasets related to Council staff at Human Resources and workforce datasets.
