This spreadsheet contains details of 96 silicon rubber moulds that were collected in Newfoundland, Canada, over the course of the IRF (2015–2019). Almost all moulds record impressions of Ediacaran macrofossils of the Conception and St. John’s groups, and were collected from the Mistaken Point Ecological Reserve, and the Catalina Dome (Bonavista), with a small number in 2019 also collected from the town of Trinity East. All casting was conducted under permits issued by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. Rubber moulds were transported back to the UK, where they have been cast using Jesmonite to make replicas of the fossil-bearing surfaces. The casts and moulds are housed together in the locations specified in the spreadsheet, unless otherwise stated. Generic identification of fossil specimens on each cast is provided, alongside locality information, details of the dates of casting, the names of people casting (Alex Liu, with assistance in various years from Emily Mitchell, Jack Matthews, William McMahon and Frances Dunn), any museum numbers, and the location where the casts are currently held (as of October 2021). Surface/locality codes correspond to the locations as listed in the accompanying Master GPS co-ordinates file deposited as part of this data deposit. The long-term intention is for all of these casts and moulds to be archived within the Sedgwick Museum, University of Cambridge. Their original cast code information will be retained alongside any official university numbers upon archiving.
