Transparency and MOD organogram reporting
Central government departments and their agencies have published organogram data since 2010. They publish snapshots every quarter, using data from 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December.
Organograms show all staff roles. For transparency, they also include the names and salaries of senior civil servants at 2-star level and above.
Defence Reform
Defence Reform was introduced to help UK Defence respond to growing threats, reduce waste and strengthen the Armed Forces. On 1 April 2025, the Secretary of State announced a new Military Strategic Headquarters and National Armaments Director Group. The announcement also set out stronger arrangements for the Department of State and the Defence Nuclear Enterprise.
The organogram reporting on this page has been updated to reflect these changes.
