Sublittoral medium fine sand with a subsurface layer of mud. The infauna comprised Arctica islandica, Ensis sp., Lanice conchilega and other polychaetes and bivalves. Solitary ascidians also occurred just under the sediment surface, together with Philine aperta. 8x10 cm cores taken.
