This dataset shows the number of newly affected herds by year of onset of their first confirmed case of BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) in Great Britain (passive cases only). The dataset includes the following fields: Year of onset; Number of herds with at least one homebred case (animal born and raised on the same farm); Number of herds with purchased animals only; Total herds.
